THE ROLE

age1 is building the next generation of biotechnology companies focused on age-related disease.

We take a thesis-driven approach to company incubation, and we’re looking for an Entrepreneur in Residence to help turn promising science into operating companies with clear paths to the clinic.

In this role, you’ll work directly with age1’s investment team, scientific founders, and recruited leadership to define strategy, build teams, and drive execution from concept through preclinical development.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Shape and advance new and existing incubation companies at age1
• Design and execute early R&D plans to progress preclinical programs
• Partner with the investment team to evaluate targets, refine asset theses, and develop fundraising strategies around key value inflection points
• Recruit and assemble founding teams for new incubations
• Assess strategic alternatives and build decision frameworks to move quickly under uncertainty

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Demonstrated experience in biotech startup operations, preclinical development, business development, or a combination of these
• Strong project and people management skills — you keep complex workstreams organized and moving
• The ability to translate scientific complexity and strategic ambiguity into concrete plans and action
• Comfort operating across disciplines: science, finance, operations, and team-building
